How will your money be used? Right now, we are raising funds to provide humanitarian aid and to raise awareness of the crisis, so we can help people in need and do our part to help bring this crisis to an end and prevent it from becoming another genocide or lead to more world-wide destabilization. This little corner of the world means a lot to us at NAMTA, because many of us trace our roots to the hills of Manipur; but even a “small” crisis like this can have a massive influence in global geopolitics so please help, if not just because it is a good cause, but to help prevent an even bigger crisis! 2. Call or Email your Senator or Congressperson
While our family, friends and loved ones are rendered homeless, hurt or dead, they have not heard a word of concern from their representatatives at the state or central level. This crisis involves “little people”, the tribals of Manipur, who are easy to ignore, easy to forget. You have never heard of us. At this time where there is no Rule of Law, and the local governments are failing to act, this is where the world needs to step in. Please ask your senator or congressperson to ask the UN Peace Keeping forces to step in, please ask the Red Cross to go in, please ask Medecins San Frontiere to go in, please ask USAID to go in and help.
